Maps and regions
One world, cut into regions you can play on their own.Every map is cut from the same world map, so provinces and borders are identical everywhere. Regional maps show the land outside the region in grey; countries that reach beyond it keep that part's population and output off the map.
| Map | Countries | Provinces | |
|---|---|---|---|
| The World | 191 | 6,491 | Every country on Earth. |
| Europe | 48 | 1,785 | From the Atlantic to the Urals, with Türkiye and the Caucasus. |
| Middle East & North Africa | 32 | 954 | From Morocco to Iran and the Gulf. |
| Africa | 57 | 1,147 | The whole continent and its islands. |
| The Americas | 34 | 1,130 | North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. |
| Asia & Pacific | 39 | 2,570 | From the Caspian to the Pacific, with Russia and Oceania. |
The world wraps
The world map is cut at the Bering Strait and wraps east–west: scroll past Asia and you are back over the Americas. Fleets cross the Pacific across the edge, and distances on the world map are measured on the globe, so the stretched high latitudes are no slower to cross.
Province sizes
Europe and the Middle East keep fine provinces; elsewhere provinces are larger where land is empty and smaller where people live, so a province is worth roughly the same everywhere.
